Bret Ross

Bret Ross, a Memphis native, feels that his biggest role as a musician is that of the fan.

At the age of 16 Bret started playing music, then 10 years later started songwriting. His biggest lesson as a musician is that you cannot make yourself write a song, it comes when its ready.

Bret's played in various bands since childhood, but the biggest role he feels he plays is of being a fan. His favorite music belogs to Memphis musicians from Cory Branan to Harlan T Bobo. As he says,
"Memphis is in my bones. Being from Memphis is about believing in what you can do and not backing down from what you think is thought about you."

The best part about being a musician for him? "Having a perfect stranger tell you they like a song you wrote."
